If you haven't spent the holidays with Full Circle before, I'd like to extend a warm welcome. This is my third year in a row executing my "Baked with Love" project where I bake a variety of cookies and candies and then package them up all pretty to give, with love, to coworkers, friends and family.
Each year, I incorporate tried and true traditions as well as new recipes that I am equally excited about. Grab some hot cocoa and enjoy your stay as my 2010 Box of Love unfolds before your eyes!
I have to admit that this was my favorite Box of Love to date. The box perfectly showcased my favorite sweets of the season and all of the recipes, both old and new, were so tasty that it was hard for any of the recipients to pick a clear favorite. That's what I call success!
The fun and festive view boxes were purchased through Nashville Wraps and polka dotted baking cups from Sur la Table kept the goodies in place.
In addition to trying new recipes this year, I also added a new tradition. I embarked on what I referred to as "Random Acts of COOKIES." Random "strangers" throughout the week were gifted with bags and boxes of cookies that were left over after my original recipients' boxes were filled.
Some lucky recipients included: our favorite Starbucks Barristas, our FedEx shipping boys, the sales lady who helped with the purchase of my final gift of the season and the staff taking care of Gabby over the holidays. I think I may have enjoyed gifting to strangers more than my friends and coworkers thanks to the added elements of surprise and complete randomness.
You'll notice that some of the boxes were blue, these were adapted for my Jewish coworkers, those are Chanukah Bushes that you see. =) In case you missed any of the recipes, you can find them here:
