baked with love - packaging

baked with love2012
If you haven't spent the holidays with Full Circle Foodie before, I'd like to extend a warm welcome. This is my fifth year executing my "Baked with Love" project where I bake a variety of cookies and candies and then package them up all pretty to give, with love, to coworkers, friends and family.

Each year, I incorporate tried and true traditions as well as new recipes that I am equally excited about. Grab some hot cocoa and enjoy your stay as my 2012 Box of Love unfolds before your eyes!

Baked with Love 2012 Packaging

Before we get to this year's recipes, I'd like to share some tips on presentation. One of the most important aspects to my anual Baked with Love boxes is the festive packaging. I have rounded up my favorite supplies to use as well as listed where you can purchase them. These recommendations are in no way sponsored, but simply companies and products that I have had large success with throughout the years.

  1. Mini Treat Bags - These are perfect for gifting small sweets to large groups or placing next to a cookie tray to allow guests to take a 'to-go' treat. A large selection can be found at Cakes and Kids Too on Etsy.
  2. Greaseproof Cupcake Liners - The secret to separating treats inside larger boxes is greaseproof cupcake liners. The glassine finish prevents buttery cookies from leaving unsightly splotches throughout the packaging and the vibrant colors help tie everything together. Cakes and Kids Too has the largest selection of liners I have found to date and her customer service was superb!
  3. Custom Gift Labels - I just adore these customized gift labels that I ordered from Tiny Prints. I also picked out some 'peace.love.&cookies' address labels that I was able to customize into everyday gift labels to use later in the year.
  4. Festive Boxes - Hands down my favorite place to order gift boxes is Nashville Wraps. They have a huge selection and offer wonderful prices for both individual and bulk orders.
Not Pictured:
  • GladWare - The new family size and deep dish GladWare containers make storing batches of cookies before packaging a snap. I also wholeheartedly support their contributions to the Cookies for Kids Cancer campaign.
  • Foil Candy Wrappers - Layer Cake Shop has a colorful selection of quality foil candy wrappers sure to match any packaging themes.
