peppermint bark pretzels

baked with love2012
If you haven't spent the holidays with Full Circle Foodie before, I'd like to extend a warm welcome. This is my fifth year executing my "Baked with Love" project where I bake a variety of cookies and candies and then package them up all pretty to give, with love, to coworkers, friends and family.

Each year, I incorporate tried and true traditions as well as new recipes that I am equally excited about. Grab some hot cocoa and enjoy your stay as my 2012 Box of Love unfolds before your eyes!

Peppermint Bark Pretzels

I originally made these Peppermint Bark Pretzels as a small gift for a large group of awesome people. Four pretzels perfectly nestled into each mini treat bag for an inexpensive, yet impressive way to say thank you.

Due to an unfortunate cookie disaster, a second batch of these turned out to be a colorful addition to my boxes as well. I love the festive colors and shapes that the pretzels added to the overall feel of the box; turns out it was quite a happy accident!

  1. Preheat oven to 300 degrees Fahrenheit. Line baking sheet with parchment paper or silicone baking mat.
  2. Place pretzels on sheet in a single layer. Top each pretzel with a Hershey's kiss of choice.
  3. Bake for 3 minutes. Remove from oven and immediately top each kiss with an M&M, pressing down to set.
  4. Allow to cool completely before packaging or storing in an airtight container.
