Our Thanksgiving was absolutely lovely this year; and although I'm a bit late in posting a brief recap, the pictures of the impressive spread were too tasty not to share. A huge thanks to Marie for hosting our quaint party of fourteen and to Masterbuilt for providing the Indoor Electric Turkey Fryer!
We indulged in not one, but two deep fried turkeys, three different variations of potatoes, stuffing, veggies and all the trimmings. My contribution was the cranberry sauce and our family favorite, Cheesy Ritzy Broccoli Casserole. The dishes were kept traditional, with just enough pizazz that we knew we were in some great foodie company. The curried roasted sweet potatoes were my personal favorite.
As if we hadn't packed in enough, the dessert spread included tiramisu, cran-apple crisp, apple pie, pumpkin 'pie' and my Mommom's pecan pie. The pecan pie was a hit and not a single crumb came home with us. I'm always proud to show off the recipes of childhood and this pie was no exception.
